Position: Early Years Practitioner (Bank Staff) Start date: January 2019 Hours of work: Casual Worker / Zero Hours Salary: In line with National Living Wage
We are looking for a qualified (Level 3) Early Years Practitioner to join us on Bank Staff Contracts.
Due to occupancy levels, we are looking for Qualified Practitioners to join our Nursery team on Bank Staff contracts, covering staff holidays/sickness/busy days/training/events etc.
Bank Staff positions would allow Practitioners to work hours that they are available, rather than being committed to a full time, permanent contract.
Applicants must be reliable, and live within a commutable distance of our Nursery.
Successful candidates will be Level 3 fully qualified, as a minimum, and should be fully conversant with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and Ofsted guidelines. They will have proven previous experience providing safe and enriching childcare to young children aged 0-5 years old.

be able to plan, implement, supervise, observe, and assess relevant activities, ensuring variety and appropriateness of levels, independent learning, adult and child-led learning, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and nursery’s high standards
together with fellow colleagues, work toward and excel Ofsted standards and requirements
work in close liaison with management team, fellow staff members, parents, and multi-agencies to provide high-quality, safe, non-discriminatory childcare, in a positive and enabling environment, which meets the needs of the children and the nursery’s high standards
work together to safeguard children at all times

Summary of Essential Requirements: - Must have or be working towards Level 3 or above (NNEB, CACHE, BTEC and NVQ are all acceptable) - Must have proven experience working in a similar role in a similar setting with children aged 0-5 years - Must have a current and clear DBS Enhanced (previously known as CRB) check, issued within the last 12 months or be prepared to sign up for the DBS Update service, and/or apply and pay for a new DBS - Proof of Identity and eligibility to work in the UK confirmed by Passport and any relevant VISA documentation
Desirable Requirements: - A valid paediatric first aid certificate - A valid food safety certificate - A valid Level 1 Safeguarding certificate - Full, clean driving licence
