A huge thank you to all parents, carers and children that have worked extremely hard on such lovely Easter creations. Well done to all who took part!
Just a reminder that nursery will be closed on Friday 19th April and Monday 22nd April, reopening on Tuesday 23rd April . We hope you all have a wonderful Easter and a much deserved rest. From all at The Old Railway House Nursery, Happy Easter! Its that time of year again when we look at new life and life cycles, this year, as well as looking at the life cycle of a caterpillar we are also rearing stick insects! Here are some pictures of our stick insect eggs and our baby caterpillars, we will keep you posted on their development.
On Friday 29th March we said a sad farewell (but not goodbye!) to Katie who has been given the amazing opportunity of working abroad for 6 months., We wish Katie all the best of luck in making her new memories.
Whilst one member of staff leaves we are also welcoming back an old face to nursery, some of our long standing parents may remember Vicky, the manager of the nursery who left to have her baby in 2015. Vicky will be returning to us on Tuesday 30th April and will be working in the outdoor classroom. Vicky has got many years of experience and now that her children are a little older wants to get back into the job that she loves. We are pleased to announce that Jess gave birth to a healthy 7lb baby girl, Aubree Rose on Sunday 31st March, such an amazing Mother's Day present! Mother and baby doing really well, congratulations to Jess and her lovely family.
