During the week of the 5th to the 9th November, we will be holding a special commemorative red week. We are inviting all children to dress in red to remember the fallen of the First World War.
From the 1st to the 11th of November, Station Road will be holding a commemoration to the 40 men that went to war. Historical research has revealed many of those that served from Aldridge during the First World War lived in or around this significant street. It was also home to the train station where soldiers from the area began their journey to the Front and for those fortunate enough to survive it must have been a welcome sight upon their return. We look forward to seeing you along Station Road showing support both for the men that went to war and for the residents and members of the Aldridge Local History Society who have spent months in planning this wonderful tribute.
