A little bit about our Nursery...

The Nursery operates from a converted bungalow, on the corner of a quiet, residential cul-de-sac. The Nursery has a large, private outdoor garden to the rear of the property, as well as on-site private parent parking, which is set back from the road.

ENGINE ROOM
'Engine Room' is our baby unit. Your little one is with us in this room from when they start Nursery, to around 18-24 months when they are ready to move on to toddler room. Our baby facility provides a cosy and comfortable 'home-from-home' environment for them to relax, but still explore and get messy too!

STATION ROOM
'Station Room' is our toddler room. In here, we focus on children becoming a little bit more independent. It is a transitional time of their life, so we provide age appropriate resources and tailor our room layout and structure of the day to allow them to explore things freely, whilst still having staff very close at hand to support them as needed.

PLATFORM ROOM
Our pre-school department is comprised of two rooms; collectively known as Platform Room. These rooms are home to our rising-threes, and pre-school age children. In these rooms, we start preparing your little one for school. We continue to focus on independence, from maths and numeracy, to encouraging them to problem solve and use their imaginations in a range of scenarios.

Did you know...?
...commercial businesses in Walsall aren't required to recycle? At The Old Railway House, we made the decision to pay for two separate Trade Waste bins at nursery, so that we can help teach our children about the importance of recycling whilst at nursery.
