Fun and delicious recipes you can make with your tiny tots!

22/5/2017

With another bank holiday coming up - we thought we'd suggest a few fun food recipes for you to try with your tiny tots this bank holiday! A few of them we already do at nursery so your little ones may be teaching you a few things ;)

EASY PEASY PIZZAS
Who has got time to roll dough these days?! (although that would be very fun to do with your little ones if you have a bit more time!), but if you're rushing around but still want to have fun making a speedy lunch, which not buy a plain base from the local supermarket and load it with tomato puree, cheese and some colourful peppers and sweetcorn! You could even make some smiley face pizzas out of the veg! This is great for motor skills and hand/eye coordination - not to mention, yummy!!!

What's needed:
  • Ready made pizza base (or a french baguette cut in half!)
  • Tomato puree
  • Grated cheese
  • Red and green salad peppers
  • Sweetcorn

FRUIT SKEWERS
Inspired by BBQ season, how about making some fresh and colourful salad skewers

What's needed:
  • BBQ skewers
  • Any fruit you like! (Strawberries, blackberries, apple, orange segments, watermelon - the list goes on!)

These are just two of our favourites, but loads more ideas can be found on this website:
